St. David's Church is a Union Church of Presbyterian and Methodist foundation. The Church is presently under the Presbyterian oversight. Our Church seeks to express the Christian faith in fresh ways, building a caring, loving and friendly Community Church. As a community Church, we value and welcome everyone, encouraging and support all people in their spiritual journey. We are a children and family friendly church and our doors are open to all who are looking for a spiritual home,

What we believe-

St. David's being a union of Presbyterians and Methodists in the Allenton area, embrace the Reformed Tradition and hold the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as being central for life and faith. We also embrace the confessions of faith subscribed to by the Presbyterian and Methodist Churches in New Zealand. The confessions of faith include;

  • An Affirmation of Faith (1993)
  • A Simple Contemporary Statement of Faith (1969)
  • The Faith We Affirm Together (1968)
  • The Barmen Declaration (1934)
  • The Larger Catechism (1648)
  • The Shorter Catechism (1647)
  • Westminster Confession (1646)
  • The Nicene Creed (381)
  • The Apostles' Creed
  • The Heidelberg Catechism
  • The Scots Confession
  • The Second Helvetic Confession
  • Kupu Whakapono
